Health and Safety Policy (including Covid-19)

Introduction

EV Sports Ltd (trading and referred to in this policy as EV Sports) is a company registered in England and Wales under number 11234910 whose registered office is at Portsmouth Technopole, Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO2 8FA with email address emma@evsports.co.uk; and telephone number 07547 195551.

Under the provision of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974), EV Sports understands their obligations, so far as is reasonably practical, to fulfil the statutory duties that are required of them. Furthermore, with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, EV Sports recognises an additional duty of care for everyone, and will therefore aim to:

  • Maintain compliance to the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and associated Regulations
  • Continue to provide safe and healthy conditions to all employees, subcontractors, clients and visitors whilst making workplace amendments as needed to protect everyone from the virus
  • Regularly monitor and review the Health and Safety Risk Assessment to ensure the continuing effectiveness of our health and safety measures, which includes the risk of covid-19 transmissions
  • Provide sufficient information and communication to clients and visitors to ensure ongoing compliance to covid-19 management, as follows:

Clients will be expected to:

    • Pay for their treatment prior to their appointment to reduce touch points of the card machine and cash
    • Complete and submit a covid-19 consent form before arriving for their appointment
    • Bring their own bottle of water
    • Use hand sanitiser on entering the premises and prior to leaving the treatment room
    • Wear face masks at all times (unless otherwise agreed/discussed)
    • Have their temperature taken and logged upon arrival/prior to the treatment commencing
    • Store all belongings in the lidded box provided during the treatment
    • Only use the upstairs toilet and hand washing facilities and place single use hand drying towels in the pedal bin after use

EV Sports’ therapist will:

    • Monitor and record their temperature on a daily basis
    • Confirm to each client the day before their appointment that they do not have any covid-19 symptoms
    • Provide a covid-19 consent form for to each client to complete and submit the day before their appointment
    • Provide a QR code for anyone on the premises to use
    • Open windows in treatment room, bathroom and on route to/from treatment room prior to each appointment
    • Thoroughly wash their hands before and after each client’s appointment
    • Wear a face mask throughout the duration of each treatment (unless otherwise agreed/discussed)
    • Wear additional PPE when required, such as apron and visor
    • Clean all surfaces and equipment in the treatment room, bathroom and route to/from the treatment room after every appointment using anti-bacterial wipes and/or cleaner
    • Use towels, couch covers and couch roll only once and place in a pedal bin immediately after use
    • Wash all towels and couch covers at 60o at the end of each day
    • Dispose of all used couch roll, wipes, aprons and masks at the end of each day
  • That this H&S policy and associated risk assessment is continually monitored, reviewed and communicated to ensure covid-19 systems remain effective and are known by everyone
  • Arrangements are in place for the safe use and maintenance of all equipment that is used
  • Ensure an effective reporting system is in place for reporting incidents and rectifying in a timely manner
  • Implement emergencies arrangements for appropriate communications in the event of a major incident including potential or confirmed cases of COVID 19
